# One page for the work you stand behind

We build myexpert.work — one short URL where an independent expert shows who they are, proves what they’ve done, and gets hired. We think your professional presence should belong to you, not to a platform that takes a cut.

## Why we built this

If you sell your own expertise, you know the mess. A portfolio site that’s been 80% done for two years. A Calendly link here, a PDF résumé there, testimonials in a doc nobody reads. And a LinkedIn profile that ranks above all of it — on a platform you don’t control.

Meanwhile the marketplaces that promise you clients take a cut of every project and keep the relationship for themselves. You do the work; they own the customer. That felt broken to us, so we stopped waiting for someone else to fix it.

We built the page we wanted to send our own clients to: one link, myexpert.work/you, with your work, your services, verified reviews, and a “Book a call” button. It answers the questions a client actually asks, in the forty seconds they give you.

## Who we build for

- **Independent experts** — Consultants, coaches, designers, developers, therapists, lawyers, photographers. Your next client arrives by referral or search, and you finally have somewhere good to send them.

## Where independent work is heading

For twenty years, finding an expert meant typing a query into a search box. That’s changing fast. Clients now ask an AI assistant “who should I hire for this?” — and the assistant answers with names. Experts who exist only as scattered links and unclaimed profiles won’t be in that answer.

That’s why we care so much about one canonical page: a single, verifiable source that a human can skim in forty seconds and a machine can read with confidence. Same page, both audiences.

myexpert.work is built by [SilkySoftware](https://silkysoftware.com), a small software studio. We use the product ourselves, we answer our own support email, and when you write to us, the person who built the feature writes back.
